The Micari Method was founded by Corey Micari, an educator and behavioural specialist who spent years immersed in demanding work environments. His journey was born out of observing a critical flaw in traditional professional development: the Success Trap.
This trap sees top talent, the people you invest in most, drive themselves to burnout by conflating relentless activity with meaningful success. Corey realised that generic leadership training and wellness initiatives fail because they don’t address the root cause: a fundamental misalignment between an individual’s deep sense of purpose and the organisation’s strategic goals.
This frustration led him to realise the core issue: ‘We all want the destination but neglect the journey.’ The Micari Method was created to be the definitive solution, synthesising behavioural science and organisational psychology into a repeatable framework for top-tier corporate performance. It’s not a motivational course, it’s an integrated framework designed for sustainable performance, clarity, and retention within the modern corporate structure.
I knew, deep down, that I was meant for more; my voice was meant to be heard and used to help people. But my path to get there was invisible to me. Like many, I lived in a world of limiting beliefs and fear of judgement that stopped me from ever stretching too far away from the norm. I was endlessly searching for what the right fit was FOR ME. From aspiring psychologist to PE teacher, mental health facilitator to running mini-gyms for kids. Each step felt close, but wrong, leaving me constantly frustrated. It was a journey where I confronted many uncomfortable truths about who I was, stopping frequently to look myself in the mirror and ask the hard questions.
Today, that struggle is my foundation. I now go to sleep excited, laying down at night ready to recite my daily wins and eager to jump out of bed the next morning, to see what the day will hold. Every single step along the way felt deathly uncomfortable in the moment but became the foundation for tackling areas of life I never imagined possible. When I met my wife, Emily, I spoke of how all my life I wanted love, but I’d never been able to envision our life together when I was younger; I now understand it was simply beyond my imagination at the time. I was stuck in a 9-5 mentality, believing “what is will always be,” never daring to swerve away from the perceived safety of the familiar.
